DJ music night planned at Root Beer Shack

PARKERSBURG – A free DJ music night will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at the Root Beer Shack, 1420 Staunton Ave. The event is a collaboration among Parkersburg Councilwoman Wendy Tuck, Root Beer Shack owner Sarah Stalnaker and DJ Dodge Gaskill. Gaskill, a retired chef who also works as a photographer and artist, will play rock, country and pop music from the 1950s through the 2000s. Historical society to hold final Anti Tea Party

The final Anti-Tea Party celebrating America’s 250th anniversary will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Phelps-Tavenner House at 2401 Camden Ave. in Parkersburg.
