Give it up for Ravenswood point guard Annie Hunt. Commend her in any way you choose, it really doesn’t matter. Perhaps, deliver her a round of applause. I had a more than interesting catch-up conversation earlier this week with Wisconsin’s Braxton Amos, who last weekend finished runner-up in Greco-Roman at 97 kg to G’Angelo Hancock at the United State Olympic Team Trials. BENNETT: State swim format change not for best

Here we go again. Instead of putting any blame on anyone, perhaps there is still time to make a wrong a right. Last Thursday, the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission, which included a majority vote by the swimming coaches’ committee of seven members, agreed to change the state meet guidelines. In essence, the planned two-day meet set for April 20-21 in Morgantown was nixed to just one day. That means no preliminary races and just a one-day timed finals. Many things are interesting. For instance, off the top of my head I could pick a plethora. The simplicity of basketball is honestly my favorite. There is just one ball and 10 players. The sole goal of said game is to have one more point than your opponent when time expires. Anyone who attempted to fill out an NCAA bracket correctly and had the likes of Ohio State, West Virginia and the ilk moving on are most definitely not in the 99%-tile of their competition.
