Letter to the Editor: Lost conscience

John Adams, a founding father, who helped write and was a signatory of the U.S. Constitution once stated, "Our constitution was made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."

This explains many of the problems we face in America today. We have lost our moral compass, having turned away from God. We don't even teach about our religious heritage in our public schools today. We see a new "Mother Earth Religion" today where our planet is worshiped as God, by the climate crisis cult. These fanatics would willingly sacrifice an untold number of human lives to "protect" Mother Earth.

We see criminals running rampant in our streets because they have no feelings of remorse. Nor do they fear any consequences or punishment for their crimes, because they are aware that far left prosecutors (many of them funded by George Soros) will not prosecute criminals in "blue" states and cities.

We see mass shootings, many of them in schools, because the shooter has no conscience with no concept of wrongdoing. Many of these shooters seem to be the embodiment of pure evil.

We see Mexican drug cartels pouring across our Southern border, with deadly drugs like fentanyl, killing Americans and ruining innocent lives. These cartels also engage in human slavery and child trafficking.

We see our president seeking to destroy our Second Amendment leaving innocent Americans unarmed, unable to defend themselves against criminals foreign and domestic, let alone, proven by growing mountains of evidence, having engaged in influence peddling, to enrich himself and his family, having taken bribes from China, Russia, the Ukraine, Romania, Kazakhstan, etc., leaving himself compromised, unable to confront the bad actors on the world stage.

We need to elect our leaders from the president on down, who are moral, putting God and country above all else, especially personal gain. America can again prosper, if we do this.

John Adams' quote was correct.

A trivia fact which is rarely taught in public schools today is many of our 55 founding fathers were not only Christians but ordained ministers. Many educators teach today that our founding fathers were not Christians and cite Thomas Jefferson as an example when he was the only known Diest.
