Richard Reynolds, 78, of Palestine passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Cedar Grove Assisted Living in Parkersburg. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today at Matheny Whited Funeral Home, 97 Juliana St., Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m Tuesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at Sayre Cemetery in Palestine.

Bernard B. Byers Jr., 76, of Belleville, WV, passed away peacefully at his home. He was born to the late Alice Jean Yeater Byers and Bernard B. Byers, Sr. Bernard retired from DuPont and was a faithful member of Belleville Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He married Clarissa Mae Byers in 1967, and together they shared 58 years of marriage.
