Republicans want special session to remove Pritt

CHARLESTON - A supermajority within the 91-member House of Delegates Republican caucus are calling on Gov. Patrick Morrisey to call a special session so the House can begin proceedings to expel Del. Elliott Pritt, R-Fayette, following federal charges regarding inappropriate contact with a child. Historical society to hold final Anti Tea Party

The final Anti-Tea Party celebrating America’s 250th anniversary will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Phelps-Tavenner House at 2401 Camden Ave. in Parkersburg. Sponsored by the Wood County Historical and Preservation Society, which will host the event, the tea parties were organized with assistance of the Wood County Commission and call attention to the not only the Boston Tea Party, but also the 16 other tea parties that played a role in the advent of the Revolutionary War.
