Police: Parkersburg man arrested for possession of child sexual abuse imagery

PARKERSBURG -- A Parkersburg man was arrested Tuesday as part of an ongoing investigation related to the possession of child pornography, according to a release posted on the Parkersburg Police Department Facebook page.
Parkersburg Police executed a search warrant at 700 Lulu St. Apartment #3, Parkersburg, and located Terry Lynn Lyons, 43, who resided at the address.
"Mr. Lyons was found to be in possession of an electronic device that, upon initial inspection, contained images of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct," the post said. "Other electronic devices were recovered from the apartment as a result of the search warrant."
Detective D.W. Miller, assigned to the West Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, had drafted the search warrant for the residence based on information obtained from an ongoing investigation, according to the post.
Lyons was taken into custody and transported to Parkersburg Police Headquarters, where he was interviewed and charged with one count of possession of child pornography, according to the Facebook post. Lyons was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court, where bond was set at $100,000, which he failed to post.
This investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be brought forward in the future, the post said. Lyons is presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
