ATHENS -- Authorities in Athens County are investigating an accident near the Ohio University Airport near Albany of a single-engine aircraft on Ohio 32 across from the airport.
The plane was landing and caught a crosswind and went through a fence into a ditch, a report on the Federal Aviation Administration website said.
Two people in the plane walked away unhurt, according to the Albany Area Volunteer Fire Department. The accident was reported around 8 p.m. Sunday, the department said.
The accident is under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The 1976 Cessna is registered to Pro Rentals, according to the FAA registry.
