Farmers Castle Museum to hold open house for Juneteenth

BELPRE – Farmers Castle Museum, operated by the Belpre Historical Society, will have an open house from 1-4 p.m. Saturday in recognition of Juneteenth. The Underground Railroad in Southeastern Ohio, a permanent exhibit that details the rise of the freedom movement along the Ohio River shoreline of Washington County in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, will be featured. Elks to celebrate Flag Day, picnic

VIENNA - The annual Parkersburg Elks Lodge 198 membership picnic and flag observance will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Buzzy Dils Park in Vienna. “The flag ceremony is a time-honored tradition that celebrates the American flag and what it represents,” organizer Leslie Riddle said. Marietta Main Street slates Summer Shop Hop for Saturday

MARIETTA – Marietta Main Street will celebrate the start of summer on Saturday with the June Shop Hop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. downtown. Nearly 20 businesses will participate, with every purchase at one of those establishments earning a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize basket.
