World Embroidery Day to be observed in Parkersburg
World Embroidery Day will be observed from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Bolts and Quarters Quilt Shop in Parkersburg. The exhibit and event are free and participants are encouraged to bring a project and sit and sew with other stitchers. The entries for the exhibits are not judged and can be entered from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. Entries must be hand crafted and can include candle wicking, chicken scratch, counted cross stitch, crewel embroidery, embroidery, hardanger, needlepoint, quilting, red work, black work, sashiko, slow stitch and tafting.
