Picture This: Treasurer Pack presents firearms auction proceeds to Parkersburg Police Department

Pack made the presentation during his speech at the 2026 West Virginia Municipal League Annual Conference in Charleston. The auctions provide police departments with funding earned from the sales of confiscated firearms, while also freeing up space in evidence rooms, Pack said in a news release. The winning bid for the June auction was $60,492 from a licensed firearm dealer in West Virginia. The purchase included 489 firearms from 18 law enforcement agencies. (Photo provided)
