* Christmas Program
MacFarlan Community Church invites everyone to attend their Christmas program at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21. Along with vocal solos and recitations by youth and adults, there will be a presentation entitled "Love Came Down." This pageant focuses on God sending Jesus to be the savior, along with the gifts sent down from heaven on the first Christmas.
* Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
MacFarlan Community Church invites everyone to attend their Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24. The service, entitled "Angels: Heralds of Hope," is a traditional retelling of the angels' involvement in the Christmas story, emphasizing God's message of hope for the world.
* Christmas Eve service
Stout Memorial United Methodist Church at 34th and Broad streets, Parkersburg, will hold a traditional candlelight service at 11 p.m. Dec. 24. There will be special music from the choir and the lighting of candles as the congregation sings "Silent Night."
