PARKERSBURG -- The annual First Lutheran Church Cookeez sale will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Dec. 14 at the church at 1701 19th St. in Parkersburg.
A selection of homemade cookies, breads, candies and other holiday treats will be available. First Lutheran crafters have been busy making new Christmas craft items and the popular microwave bowl cozies will be available.
New this year are wreaths in the shape of trees, candy canes and traditional round ones, gnome ornaments and Christmas angels made from dried okra from the church's community garden.
Come early for the best selection, event chairman Linda Dally said. Cookies will range from plain to fancy and will be $7 per dozen with other items will be similarly well-priced.
First Lutheran is handicapped accessible and has plenty of free parking adjacent to the church. For more information, call the church at 304 428-6174.
