55 Years: Carpenter

Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Carpenter of Rockport will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 30. The couple was married on Aug. 30, 1970, in Parkersburg by the late Warren Fluharty. Gregory was a certified welder at American Municipal Power of Ohio until his retirement. Linda is a homemaker. They have one daughter, Melissa Tingler (Dustin) of Rockport and one granddaughter, Ashley (Joseph) and two great-grandchildren, Augustus and Rose Matheny of Washington, W.Va. A celebration will be held at the family farm.
