Brad and Brenda Emrick of Lubeck, W.Va., announce the engagement of their daughter, McKenzie Emrick, to Travis Huffman, son of Deron and Kelly Huffman of Belleville, W.Va.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Sue and the late Charles Emrick of Mineral Wells, Wiley and Janet Westfall of Slate, W.Va., and the great-granddaughter of Dorothy Wine Cheuvront of Parkersburg. She is a 2010 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. She is a 2014 graduate of Marshall University with a bachelor of science in biology. She received her doctorate of physical therapy degree from Marshall on May 6, 2017.
The prospective bridegroom is also a 2010 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. He is a 2014 graduate of Marshall University with a bachelor of science in biology and a 2016 graduate with a masters of arts in teaching.
A wedding is planned for May 20 in Huntington.
