Shirley was born on Oct. 9, 1942, in Parkersburg to the late Gilbert and Ethel Wilson.
Shirley has been married to her husband Randall for 61 years and together they have three children. Shelly Wood, Cathy Morris and Randy Smith. Spending time with her seven grandchildren -- Laura, Adam, Rachel, Allison, Ellie, Gracie and Ben -- brings her great joy.
She is very active in her church, Seventh Street United Methodist. Teaching the children to know Jesus has been her mission in life. Shirley is currently the secretary at Fairplains Elementary school and has been for 33 years.
She was to be honored by her children and extended family on Oct. 9 at a family picnic.
