The children of Virginia E. Miller would like to invite you to a celebration of her 100th birthday. A reception will be held on Sunday, May 1, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 1103 10th St., Vienna. Refreshments be will served.
Virginia was born Virginia Esther Toomey on April 29, 1922, to the late Chester and Monna Toomey. She was married to the late John L. Miller for 45 years. Virginia is the mother of three children, Susan Mathers, Mineral Wells, John Miller Jr. (Maleta) and Mona Pickens (Bruce), Vienna. Virginia also has six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Virginia worked as a seamtress for many years. She made draperies and slipcovers. Virginia worked at Sears and Dils Brothers in their drapery department. Most recently she worked for Doug Hines. Virginia worked until she was 98-years old.
Virginia lives with her daughter, Mona, in Vienna.
