The children of Hayward W. Hudkins would like for you to help celebrate his 100th birthday with a card shower.
He was born April 17, 1922, the son of the late Jackson C. Hudkins and Mae Maxson Hudkins. He was married 44 years to the late Vonda L. Hudkins and 27 years to the late Bertha Meredith Hudkins.
He was a mail carrier, farmer, carpenter and electrician and worked at the Union Bank in Harrisville until his retirement there in 1985. Hayward is the father of three daughters, Helen Baker (Frank) of Washington, W.Va., Carolyn (Sherill) Shuman of Petersburg, W.Va., and the late Teresa Grant (Larry) of Monroeville, N.J.
He has six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. An open house celebration of his birthday will be held 1-3 p.m. April 23 at the Harrisville Baptist Church on Court Street in Harrisville. Cards may be sent to Hayward at 1336 Pullman Road, Harrisville, WV 26362 or brought to the church.
