A card shower is being planned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of H. Neal and Barbara J. (Drane) Davis of Belmont.
They were married Aug. 12, 1973, at the Auburn (W.Va.) United Methodist Church by the Rev. Rita Emerson.
Neal is the son of the late Lawrence and June Davis of Parkersburg. He is a graduate of Parkersburg High School, served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Pleasants Power with 32 years of service.
Barbara is the daughter of the late Holden and May Drane of Auburn. She is a graduate of Harrisville High School, Mountain State College and was a homemaker. After their children were grown she worked for the Pleasants County Board of Education, retiring with seven years of fulltime service and several years substituting.
They are the parents of Heather Sloan (Chad) and Kevin Davis (Kristen). They have three granddaughters, Taylor, Kylie and Lacey and one grandson, Alex.
