Mark and Mona Smith of Vienna celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 27, 2023. They were united in marriage at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Parkersburg by the Rev. Joseph O'Reilly.
Mona is the daughter of the late Robert and Louise Rader. Mark is the son of the late Harold and Rose Smith.
Mark and Mona have two children, Nicole Slattery (Ted) of Vienna and Amanda Pedigo (Chris) of Virginia Beach, Va. They have six grandchildren, Isabella, Aidan and Charlotte Slattery of Vienna and Eva, Emma and Ellie Pedigo of Virginia Beach.
Mark retired from Verizon Communications and Mona works at St. Michael Catholic Church as the bookkeeper.
