Doug and Barbara Butler of Waverly celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 10, 2022. They were united in marriage on June 10, 1972, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Parkersburg, by the Rev. Jack Miller.
Doug is retired from the Hope Natural Gas Company/Dominion Resources after 37 years of service and Barbara was formerly employed with Industrial Rubber Products Co. for 22 years of service.
They are the parents of Lori Sauers (Neal) of Parkersburg and Edward Butler (Maria) of Alexandria, Ohio, and two grandchildren, Logan Sauers and Maggie Sauers both of Parkersburg.
A party was held at the Hampton Inn, Parkersburg, by their children, along with family and friends, and a trip to the Amish Country.
