Robert A. Mielecki and Diana R. (Kimble) Mielecki of Washington, W.Va., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 29, 2022.
Robert and Diana met at Alderson Broaddus where they both earned teaching degrees. Robert taught for 30 years before retiring in 2006 and he continued to teach as a substitute until 2020. Diana taught for 30 1/2 years before she retired in 2009. They also managed the Camp Galilee Church of the Brethren for nine summers.
They resided in Mineral County, W.Va., until 2018. Throughout this time they were active members of the Keyser Church of the Brethren. In 2018, they moved to Washington. They attend South Parkersburg Baptist Church. They have three daughters and five grandchildren.
