Ron and Carol Skeen

Ron and Carol Skeen of 706 Grandview St., Parkersburg, will celebrate their 40th anniversary on Sept. 5.

A family dinner celebration is planned.

On Sept. 5, 1981, Carol Ruth McConkey, daughter of William E. and Sarah Ruth Milstead McConkey, and Ronald Wetzel Skeen, son of Benjamin W. and Mabel Sayre Skeen, were united in marriage by Maj. Harry Sault at the Salvation Army in Cambridge, Ohio.

Their attendants were Jerry Rader, Don Myers, Audie McConkey, Janis McConkey, Linda McConkey, Sandra McConkey and Anetta Huhn.

Mr. Skeen is a former employee of Walker/Parkersburg and Mr. Pizza of Lubeck. He is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoys watching many sports activities.

Mrs. Skeen is a long time care giver and volunteer with Wood Co. schools. She enjoys genealogy, puzzles and gardening.

They are both members of Lubeck United Methodist Church.

The couple have two children, Heather (Brad) Moreland of Cross Lanes, W.Va., and Nicholas (Rachel) Skeen of Parkersburg, W.Va.

No gifts please but cards and remembrances would be welcome.
