Bill and Irene Sheaffer of Parkersburg will celebrate their 50th anniversary on Aug. 15.
They were united in marriage on Aug. 15, 1970, in Ravenswood.
They have three children: Debbie (Scott) Randolph of Mineral Wells, Tammy Kuhl of Vienna and Tracie (D.J.) Parsons of Gay, W.Va.
They have five grandchildren: Bryce and Jesse Hudson, Aysia Randolph and Jacob and Josie Parsons.
He is an Air Force veteran and retired from DuPont and she is a dedicated homemaker.
A small celebration with only immediate family on will be held today due to social distancing.
