Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter of Rockport, W.Va., will celebrate their 50th anniversary today.
The couple were married on Aug. 30, 1970, in Parkersburg, by the late Warren Fluharty.
He worked as a certified welder at American Municipal Power of Ohio (AMP-OHIO) until his retirement. She is a homemaker.
They have one daughter, Melissa (Dustin) Tingler of Parkersburg and one granddaughter, Ashley (Joseph) Matheny of Parkersburg.
Due to COVID, an anniversary trip has been delayed. They will celebrate at their family farm.
