A New Matamoras woman was killed Monday morning in a car accident with a dump truck in Washington County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. Hailey Ball, 25, was killed when her 2005 Ford Focus collided with a 2023 Mack dump truck on Ohio 7 at Archers Fork Road (Washington County 14) in Independence Township, according to the Marietta Post of the Highway Patrol. Parkersburg residents charged in Calhoun County burglaries

GRANTSVILLE – Two Parkersburg residents were charged last week following an investigation into multiple burglaries in Calhoun County, the West Virginia State Police Grantsville Detachment said. Caleb Wayne Hart, 36, and Julie Shay Spry, 34, were identified as suspects and were arrested after a traffic stop in Wood County on Thursday when “a substantial amount of stolen property” was recovered, State Police said. Horse killed in crash with pickup truck in Gallia County

RIO GRANDE – A horse pulling an Amish buggy was killed in an auto accident Friday night in Gallia County, the Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. The accident occurred on Ohio 325 near Wolf Road where the Amish buggy was traveling north and was being followed by an orange 2005 Dodge pickup truck, the patrol said.
