PARKERSBURG – A Waverly man has been charged with more than a dozen counts of wanton endangerment after allegedly firing a gun at a man with whom he was in a dispute. Christen Hall, 24, was in custody Friday afternoon at the Wood County Holding Facility on a $520,000 bond following his arrest Thursday evening, according to a release from Parkersburg Police Chief Matthew Board. Officials report pedestrian fatality in Washington County

MARIETTA – A man walking on Ohio 821 in Salem Township late Friday night was struck by a car and killed, the Marietta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. Joseph Harriman, 27, of Lower Salem was walking north on Ohio 821 near milepost 7 where he was struck by a 2010 Ford Edge driven by Mitchell Carpenter, 24, of Lowell, the patrol said. New Matamoras woman killed in collision with dump truck

A New Matamoras woman was killed Monday morning in a car accident with a dump truck in Washington County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. Hailey Ball, 25, was killed when her 2005 Ford Focus collided with a 2023 Mack dump truck on Ohio 7 at Archers Fork Road (Washington County 14) in Independence Township, according to the Marietta Post of the Highway Patrol. Ball was attempting to turn onto the northbound lane of Ohio 7 from Archers Fork Road and collided with the truck driven south by Anthony Gump, 56, of Folsom, W.Va.
