Rev. Everett L. Snyder /obituaries/2026/08/rev-everett-l-snyder/ Fri, 07 Aug 2026 04:00:44 +0000 /?p=1176197 Rev. Everett L. Snyder, 84, of Parkersburg, WV (formerly of Rockport), died Tuesday, August 4, at Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born in Sandyville, WV, a son of the late Howard and Bernice (Hinzman) Snyder.

He spent his entire life in ministry; 62 years pastoring Tri County Worship Center (formerly Rockport Full Gospel), pioneered two churches, helped establish Singing Hills association, headed up many youth camps and camp meetings and served the Full Gospel Evangelistic Association. He was an Evangelist in many states and ministered in Africa, Spain, Mexico; and traveled many times to the Middle East.

He had three passions, Jesus, family and fishing!! We named his boat visitation, so it sounded spiritual when he was out fishing! Whether it be fishing for men or fish he did it with his whole heart!!

He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years Betty C. (Pfalzgraf) Snyder; daughter LaDonna Singleton (Ralph) of Rockport; son Matthew Snyder (Stephanie) of Webb City, Missouri; four grandchildren Cameron Snyder, Bentley Singleton, Sekka Hernandez, and Mkenzie Laubach; three great grandchildren; brother Floyd Snyder; and sister Janet Moore.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a foster daughter Terry Rose Arnold and brother Donald Snyder.

A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday 11:00 AM at Tri County Worship Center with his son Pastor Matthew Snyder and Pastor Joseph Dolpies officiating. Burial will be at Rockport Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 5-8 PM at the church. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Singing Hills Assoc.
